J. Steven Wetwiska

President and CEO

Mr. Wetwiska received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Geology from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Wetwiska began his career with Hadson Petroleum Corporation in 1975 as a well site developmental geologist. In 1977, he became a consulting exploration geologist for Hadson and continued in this capacity until September of 1978, when he founded Okland Oil Company. Mr. Wetwiska serves as President and CEO of Okland and is active in the day-to-day operations of the Company, including the selection of prospects for the Company's drilling programs and the evaluation of potential acquisition targets. Mr. Wetwiska is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, and the Oklahoma City Geological Society.

 

Steve Harris

Exploration Manager

Mr. Harris earned the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Geology from the University of Oklahoma in 1978. Immediately after graduation, Mr. Harris began his career as an exploration geologist with Post Petroleum Company. Mr. Harris’s extensive experience includes the areas of subsurface geology, exploration geology, and well site work for various major and independent oil and gas concerns. Mr. Harris joined Okland in 1993 and became Exploration Manager in 2000. Recently Mr. Harris has been directing Okland’s various 3-D seismic projects. Mr. Harris is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and The Oklahoma City Geological Society. 

 

Joseph A. Okerlund, CPL

Land Manager

Mr. Okerlund earned a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Colorado State University-Pueblo in 2004 and began his career with Jess Harris III, Inc. as a field landman. In 2006, He joined Okland in 2006 and was named Land Manager in 2010. Mr. Okerlund has extensive experience in Oklahoma, Kansas & Texas and is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Oklahoma City Association of Professional Landmen.

 

Steven H. Wetwiska

Mr. Wetwiska received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma; upon graduation in May of 2005, he joined Okland Oil Company as an exploration geologist. His experience includes prospect generation in the Anadarko basin of Oklahoma and the Sedgwick basin in Kansas, international exploration in Bangladesh and India, sub surface geology, Petra mapping software, and investor relations. Mr. Wetwiska is the co-leading geologist for Okland’s northern Oklahoma horizontal program. Additionally, he is developing over 2,000 AC. of potential horizontal locations in Oklahoma's Mississippian play. Mr. Wetwiska is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and Oklahoma City Geological Society.

 

Patrick T. Wetwiska

Geologist/VP/Crude Marketing

Mr. Wetwiska holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Geology from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Oklahoma. He began his career with Okland Oil Company in 2007 as a field landman. He joined the company full-time in 2010 as an Exploration Geologist, initially focusing on generating vertical production in mature oil fields. Today, his primary focus is on horizontal development of sandstone reservoirs in the Anadarko Basin. In addition, Mr. Wetwiska oversees crude oil marketing and sales operations for the company. Mr. Wetwiska is an active member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and the Oklahoma City Geological Society.
