J. Steven Wetwiska
President and CEO
Mr. Wetwiska received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Geology from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Wetwiska began his career with Hadson Petroleum Corporation in 1975 as a well site developmental geologist. In 1977, he became a consulting exploration geologist for Hadson and continued in this capacity until September of 1978, when he founded Okland Oil Company. Mr. Wetwiska serves as President and CEO of Okland and is active in the day-to-day operations of the Company, including the selection of prospects for the Company's drilling programs and the evaluation of potential acquisition targets. Mr. Wetwiska is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, and the Oklahoma City Geological Society.
Mark R. Clay
Mr. Clay earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from The University of Oklahoma in 1978, with a major in accounting. In 1984, Mr. Clay received his Masters degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma City University, majoring in finance. Prior to joining Okland in 1989, Mr. Clay held positions of varying authority with various financial institutions, oil and gas exploration companies, and natural gas pipeline companies. Mr. Clay has extensive experience in the areas of accounting, finance, oil and gas purchasing and marketing, pipeline transportation and business development.
Mr. Harris earned the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Geology from the University of Oklahoma in 1978. Immediately after graduation, Mr. Harris began his career as an exploration geologist with Post Petroleum Company. Mr. Harris’s extensive experience includes the areas of subsurface geology, exploration geology, and well site work for various major and independent oil and gas concerns. Mr. Harris joined Okland in 1993 and became Exploration Manager in 2000. Recently Mr. Harris has been directing Okland’s various 3-D seismic projects. Mr. Harris is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and The Oklahoma City Geological Society.
Mark F. Wells
Manager of Operations
Mr. Wells earned the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1974. His career began as a drilling engineer with Chevron Oil Company immediately after graduation based out of New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1976, he moved to Casper, Wyoming to join Monsanto Company in as a petroleum engineer. In 1977, Mr. Wells joined Grace, Shursen, Moore & Associates as a consulting petroleum engineer. In 1981, Mr. Wells formed Mark Wells Inc. to provide consulting petroleum engineering services to the oil and gas industry. He joined Okland in 1987 as drilling manager and became Manager of Operations in 1991. Mr. Wells is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and is a registered Professional Engineer. He has experience in operations in Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Washington, and Northern British Columbia.
Joseph A. Okerlund, CPL
Mr. Okerlund earned a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Colorado State University-Pueblo in 2004 and began his career with Jess Harris III, Inc. as a field landman. In 2006, He joined Okland in 2006 and was named Land Manager in 2010. Mr. Okerlund has extensive experience in Oklahoma, Kansas & Texas and is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Oklahoma City Association of Professional Landmen.
Steven H. Wetwiska
Mr. Wetwiska received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma; upon graduation in May of 2005, he joined Okland Oil Company as an exploration geologist. His experience includes prospect generation in the Anadarko basin of Oklahoma and the Sedgwick basin in Kansas, international exploration in Bangladesh and India, sub surface geology, Petra mapping software, and investor relations. Mr. Wetwiska is the co-leading geologist for Okland’s northern Oklahoma horizontal program. Additionally, he is developing over 2,000 AC. of potential horizontal locations in Oklahoma's Mississippian play. Mr. Wetwiska is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and Oklahoma City Geological Society.
Patrick T. Wetwiska
Mr. Wetwiska began his career at Okland as a field land man, working various projects throughout the Anadarko Basin. Mr. Wetwiska then rejoined Okland full-time after he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Oklahoma State University in 2010. He is focusing his attention on the exploration of undeveloped land in the Arkoma Basin and east central Oklahoma. Mr. Wetwiska is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and Oklahoma City Geological Society.
Gregg S. Alletag
Certified Petroleum Geologist
Mr. Alletag earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Geology from the University of Oklahoma in 1978. Mr. Alletag began his career with Dresser Atlas Wireline working in Woodward, OK – Oklahoma City as an Engineer – Log Analyst. Leaving Dresser Atlas, Mr. Alletag worked as a wellsite geologist and later as a prospect geologist for various major and independent oil and gas companies. His experience includes vertical and horizontal plays in Panhandle Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. Mr. Alletag is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts and Oklahoma City Geological Society.
